Work Package 1 (WP1) focuses on the development of a conceptual SSIBL framework that acts as a core organising principle for the various units within the programme. Starting with an initial prototype – based on literature – of the educational framework, it will be modified in the course of the project as a result of iterative mapping responsive to inter-group discussions and feedback from training sessions in SSIBL and adapted for different cultural and national contexts, languages and curricula. The final framework will be published on line in 11 languages, in the form of a teacher guide, incorporating rationale and exemplars from different countries. WP1 is coordinated by the UCL Institute of Education. Read more
Work Packages
The project is built on seven Work Packages [WPs]

WP1: The SSIBL Educational Framework

WP2: Teacher Professional Development in SSIBL - Primary Education
Work Package 2 (WP2) addresses the core project activities and tasks associated with developing and implementing teacher professional development (TPD) in SSIBL in primary education (age 10-12) based on best practices available among the partners, who have existing TPD programmes at primary level for formal and informal education. Stockholm University (SU) leads this work package. Read more

WP3: Teacher Professional Development in SSIBL - Lower Secondary Education
Work Package 3 (WP3) addresses the core project activities and tasks associated with developing and implementing teacher professional development (TPD) in SSIBL in lower secondary education (age 12-16) based on best practices available among the partners, who have existing TPD programmes at lower secondary level for formal and/or informal education. The University of Southampton (SOTON) leads this work package. Read more

WP4: Teacher Professional Development in SSIBL - Upper Secondary Education
Work Package 4 (WP4) addresses the core project activities and tasks associated with developing and implementing teacher professional development (TPD) in SSIBL in upper secondary education (age 16-18) based on best practices available among the partners, who have existing TPD programs at upper secondary level for formal and/or informal education. The Weizmann Institute of Science (Weizmann) leads this work package. WP5: Mutual Learning and Sharing
Work Package 5 (WP5) focuses on supporting the exchange of information among the participants of the consortium and, in particular, between the members of the different work packages. Sharing of the different outcomes and experiences in the several WPs, especially WP1 to WP4, is crucial for the success of this project. Special attention is paid to the support of exchange of information between the WPs in consortium meetings. This work package is led by the coordinators of the PARRISE project, Universiteit Utrecht (UU). Read more

WP6: Dissemination
Work Package 6 (WP6) focuses on dissemination, which is seen as a horizontal activity, beginning from the outset of the project and continuing throughout the project duration. This WP provides mechanisms for organizing the work carried out by the Consortium so that it can be communicated appropriately within and beyond the consortium partners. The WP will also coordinate dissemination activities across partners and WPs to maximize the long-term impact of the project outcomes. This work package is led by the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT).

WP7: Project Management
Work Package 7 (WP7) facilitates the overall management and coordination of the PARRISE project. The work package is led by the coordinators of PARRISE, Universiteit Utrecht (UU).
