PARRISE & RRI

Responsible Research & Innovation (RRI) is a dynamic process by which societal actors are asked to collaborate and interact in the light of reciprocity and transparency, aiming to become mutually responsive in the context of research and innovation

According to the European Commission (2012):

“Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) means that societal actors work together during the whole research and innovation process in order to better align both the process and its outcomes, with the values, needs and expectations of European society.”

Building up a scientifically literate society which enables its citizens to participate in the research and innovation process is part of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). PARRISE aims to build scientifically literate young learners, who are able to engage in socio-scientific inquiry and debates, thus empowering them as future democratic citizens and enabling them to participate in the research and innovation process as part of Responsible Research and Innovation.
