On August 19th, 2017, the 18 partners of the PARRISE project met at the Dublin City University (DCU), in Dublin, Ireland, to participate in the 6th Consortium Meeting of the project.
During the first half of the meeting, the PARRISE partners discussed the main strengths and challenges of the various Teacher Professional Development (TPD) models which were implemented during the project, provided feedback on the revised Socio-Scientific Inquiry-Based Learning (SSIBL) pedagogical framework, and reported on the successes and remaining challenges of the SSIBL TPD programmes.
During the second half of the meeting, the PARRISE partners discussed the dissemination strategies of the project, placing emphasis on the development of the PARRISE Good Practices online database, which will allow visitors access to information about each of the PARRISE TPDs. The coordinators of the project also discussed the pending project deliverables and reports that need to be completed up to the end of the funding period (December 2017).
The meeting concluded with a brief presentation by the project officer Mrs. Maria Karamitrou, representative of the European Commission (EC), who appraised the successful work of the project and the efforts of the PARRISE consortium.
